Q: How can I take advantage of Equator's problem
sequencing to do animated presentation?
A: Here is the way - somewhat edited - an experienced
teacher told us animations can be made.
"I use Equator to prepare presentations of example
problems. I use a Mac, and if it is a simple problem, I
just use a screen capture program to take a snapshot of
the whole problem. (I usually use the program Grab that
comes with OS X.)
"If there are more steps I will create a video of the
procedure using Snap Z Pro X. I play the videos with sound
file narration. I pause the videos during the presentation
and interact with the students if I think I need to."
"In the video I use the note option to write out the
question. (I make the font size a little larger). I have
also used Equator to make tests. Again I use the note
option for each question and have one problem per screen."
"Right now I am only using the videos during class. I have
thought of putting them on the school intranet so students
would have access to them. (When I record video in Snap Z
Pro I can change file settings to get smaller files, but
file size is not important when I just use it for
presentations.)"
